Madeline Stuchell

Madeline Stuchell is an Associate Attorney at Friday & Cox and has been with the firm since May 2021 when she began as a law clerk.

Ms. Stuchell received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at West Virginia University, along with minors in Psychology and Anthropology, in 2020. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, having received the Dean’s Scholarship, where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate and John P. Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate in 2023.

During law school, Ms. Stuchell held a legal internship with the University’s Elder Law Clinic assisting low-income individuals with estate planning and guardianship matters, and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for exemplary coursework in Advanced Pennsylvania Torts and Pennsylvania Civil Practice. Ms. Stuchell was also a member of Pitt Law’s mock trial team, placing as semi-finalist at the 21st Annual National Trial Advocacy Competition. Upon graduation, she was awarded to the Order of the Barristers in recognition of her skills in oral advocacy and brief writing.

Throughout her time as a law clerk for Friday & Cox, Ms. Stuchell honed her skills in case preparation through careful research and analysis, also recognizing the significance of fostering strong client relationships. Ms. Stuchell focuses her practice on personal injury and medical malpractice claims, taking a special interest in dental malpractice matters and personal injury cases resulting from equine-related incidents.

Ms. Stuchell is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts of the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Stuchell divides her time between Pittsburgh and her farm in Morgantown, West Virginia where she raises horses with her husband, Drew. She also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and playing with her collie dog, Sosa, and reformed barn cat, Keeta.​
