A Pittsburgh native, Alicia M. Simpson joined the firm in 2014. She focuses her practice in the areas of workers compensation, personal injury and social security matters.

Ms. Simpson is a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning degrees in Political Science, English Literature, and History. A 2013 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Alicia was the recipient of the prestigious Donald L. Moritz and Truxall Scholarships.

While in law school, Alicia served as Vice-President for the Student Bar Association and was a finalist in the Murray S. Love Trial Competition where she was awarded the Murray S. Love Award, which is presented to the top two finalists.

Prior to joining Friday & Cox, Alicia wrote appellate briefs, pretrial pleadings and aided in trial preparation as a law clerk at a large personal injury firm located in Pittsburgh. She also interned at the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office and at Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services, Inc., an organization that provides free legal services to low income citizens in Washington, Greene, Fayette and Somerset Counties.
